User groups

A user group contains a set of defined attributes, such as approvals, limits and access level. Users are added to user groups to obtain entitlements to the group's attributes. A user may be added to one or more user groups in order to provide the user all the necessary entitlements to perform their banking activities.

If a user belongs to two groups where one group grants access to a specific feature and the other group does not have that same entitlement, the use will be granted access. Universal Online Banker looks for the presence of an entitlement, rather than the lack of an entitlement.

Note: User Groups is a feature enabled by the financial institution. If the User Group option is not available on the Administration menu and the Group Access section is not available on the Create, View or Edit User pages, the user groups feature is not enabled.
