Edit user group entitlements

About this task

Note: Depending on system configuration, approval by a second CSA may be required before the change takes effect.

Procedure

  1. From the Administration tab, in the Manage section, select User Groups. The Manage User Groups page appears.

  2. Access the Edit User Group page by doing one of the following for the user group you want to edit:

    • Click the Name link.

    • Click the Select Action button, and then select Edit User Group.

  3. To edit User Group information, change the text in the User Group Name or Description fields.

    User Group Name

This name is displayed for the group on the Manage User Groups page as well as the Create, View and Edit User pages. Use a name that most closely identifies the attributes and entitlements.

    Description

This description is displayed along with the user group name. Enter descriptive information to make it easy to distinguish this group from other groups.

  4. In the Access Level section, make any necessary changes to the access level settings and definitions.

    Security Level
Either or both of these options:
    • System administrator – Grants Company System Administrator (CSA) privileges
    • Manage confidential batches – Enables permission to handle confidential data input batches
Note: The availability of this check box is based on your company's configuration. If it is not displayed, this feature is not applicable to your company.
    Approvals
Determines whether user assigned to this group has approval privileges.
If Set approval privileges is selected, approval access is granted. Once granted, the specific features for which approvals are enabled must be defined.
Select Set Approvals to select specific approval privileges.
Note: This option does not affect approvals that may be required for user maintenance tasks
    Confidential EFD Access
Determines whether access is granted to the user group for confidential file types. If access is granted, the specific file types for which access is permitted must be defined.
Select Set Access to select the individual files type.
Note: Confidential EFD Access is only available if your company settings required permissions for confidential EFD access. If it is not displayed, this feature is not applicable to your company.
    Payment Limits
Determines whether payment limits are set. Unlimited access permits users assigned to the user group to create transactions for any amount up to your company's limits.
Select Set Custom Limits to restrict the user group's amount limits.

  5. In the Account, Function and Data Service Entitlements section, make any necessary changes to the level of entitlements.

  6. Do one of the following:

    • Click Save if you do not need to change custom user group entitlements.

    • Click Save and Continue if you either changed the group entitlement to Custom, or you need to change the custom entitlements.

  7. When you have finished defining the group's entitlements, click Submit Group.

The Manage User Groups page appears showing a success message.
