Authorize an ACH authorization rule

About this task

Depending on their configuration, ACH authorization rules may require authorization by a second user. Rules that require authorization have a status of "Pending Approval."

You can authorize instructions only if you are designated in the system as an approver. You cannot authorize any instructions that you created or last modified.

Procedure

  1. On the main menu, select Fraud Control, and in the Manage section, select ACH Authorizations.

The ACH Authorizations page displays a list of existing authorization rules.

  2. Find a rule that has a Pending Approval status. You can authorize items individually or several at a time.

  3. To authorize an individual item:

    • Click the Status link.

    • On the Modify ACH Authorization Rule page, click Approve or Reject.

  4. To authorize multiple items:

    • In the Select All column, select the check boxes for items to be authorized.

    • Click Approve or Reject.

    • On the multiple record confirmation page, click Approve or Reject.

  5. On the Preview ACH Authorizations Approve page, click Approve or Reject again to confirm your action.
