Search for transactions

About this task

You can restrict transactions that display on the Account Activity page by using Search on section of the page.

Procedure

  1. On the main menu, select Accounts, and in the Manage Accounts section, select Account Activity. The Account Activity page appears.

  2. From the Account list, select the account, and then click Update. The transaction lists show the transactions for the selected account.

  3. From the Search on field, select your preferred search option, define the search criteria, and then click Search. The transactions lists display the information based on the defined search criteria.

    Date
    Search account activity based on a defined date or date range
    Enter the From and To dates.
    Check Number
    Search for a single check or a range of check numbers
    Enter the range in the From and To fields.
    Note:
    • To search for a single check, enter the number in the From field and leave the To field empty.
    • This search does not search for scheduled transactions.
    Keyword
    Search based on a partial or whole word
    For example: The keyword authorize will return all transactions that include the text "authorize", including authorized and preauthorized.
    The information in the Transaction and Description columns are included in the search.
    Note: The keyword search does not search for scheduled transactions.
    Enter the word or phrase in the Keyword field.
    Amounts
    Search based on a debit or credit amount range
    Enter the From and To amount range. Select either Credit or Debit.
    Note:
    • Both From and To fields are required.
    • This search does not search for scheduled transactions.
    Credits by Date
    Search credit transactions based on a defined date range
    Enter the From and To dates.
    Note:
    • Both From and To fields are required.
    • This search does not search for scheduled transactions.
    Debits by Date
    Search debit transactions based on a defined date range
    Enter the From and To dates.
    Note:
    • Both From and To fields are required.
    • This search does not search for scheduled transactions.
