External Transfer Accounts

External accounts are accounts that you hold at another financial institution.

The External Account option within transfers allows you to add and manage external account information within Universal Online Banker so that you can transfer funds to and from those accounts.

The External Transfer Accounts page is the central location in Universal Online Banker for managing external accounts used for transfers.

Using this page you can:

  • View defined external accounts
  • Add a new external transfer account
  • Change the nickname for a defined external transfer account
  • Verify a recently added external transfer account
  • Delete external transfers accounts
Column Description
Nickname Displays the defined Nickname for the account

The nickname is displayed with the account number when working with external transfers.

If you click the nickname, the Edit External Transfer Accounts page appears.

Account Number Displays the account number for the external account
Bank Name Displays the name of the bank at which the external account is held
Bank ID Displays the routing number of the bank
Transfer To

Transfer From

Indicates whether transfers are permitted To and / or From the external account
Status Indicates the status of the account

Account status is depending on several factors. For example, an account that was just added could have a status of either In Process, or Verify. Either of these statuses indicates that the verification process is not yet completed for the account.
