Create an export profile for payment data

Procedure

  1. From the Payments menu, in the Payment Tools section, select Export Profiles.

    The Manage Export Profiles page lists existing export profiles.

  2. Click the Create Export Profile button. The Create Export Profile page appears.

  3. Enter the following information.

    Profile Name

    The name that will be used to identify the profile in the system

    Description

    A generic description, which should indicate to other users how the export is used

    File Format

    The general file format for files that will be exported using the profile—either a standard or user-defined format

  4. Click the Select button. The page refreshes to show additional options for the selected format.

  5. Select the following options.

    Format Type (For small business users)

    When the selected format is user-defined, the format is comma-separated.

    Note: For the NACHA file format, this field does not appear.
    Format Type (For large corporate users)

    There are several available character-delimited formats, such as comma-separated.

    File Content Type

    The type of payment data exported with the profile

    File content types include the following:

    • Payments
    • Templates
    • Recipients (only available for ACH, user-defined exports)
    Payment Type

    The payment type to be exported using the export profile

    This field applies only to user-defined payment and template exports.

  6. Click Continue.

    • If you are creating a standard NACHA export profile, a preview page appears. After confirming the information, click Submit Profile. The profile is complete.
    • If you are creating a user-defined profile, continue with the next step.

  7. Define the structure of each record in the file using the following options:

    Options

    Specifies whether the exported file should include header and footer records

    Available Fields

    The payment fields available for addition to the profile. A field can be added to the profile by selecting it in the list and clicking the right arrow button.

    Fields Included in File

    The payment fields included in the current profile. A field can be removed from the profile by selecting it in the list and clicking the left arrow icon. The Up and Down buttons can be used as needed to order the fields.

  8. Click Continue.

  9. On the preview page, confirm the information and click Submit Profile. The profile is complete.
