Approve User Group
The following fields and options appear on the Approve User Group page:
- Group Information
- Group Name
User group name
- Group Description
Description of the user group
- Access Information
- Security Level
Yes or No to indicate if the user has these entitlements:
- System administrator – Grants the group's users access as a Company System Administrator (CSA)
- Manage confidential batches – Allows the group's users to handle confidential data input batches
- Approval Level
Clicking View Approvals shows which of these options has been enabled:
Note: This option does not affect approvals that may be required for user group maintenance tasks.- No approval settings – The new group's users cannot authorize payments and templates or make other decisions for the accounts they can access
- Approval settings – The new group's users can authorize payments and templates and make other decisions for the accounts they can access
- Confidential EFD File Type Access
Clicking View EFD Access shows which of these options has been enabled:
- No access – The new group's users cannot handle ACH batch payments considered “confidential.”
- Set Access – The new group's users can handle ACH batch payments considered “confidential,” including editing and deleting confidential batches created by other users.
- View Limits
Clicking View Limits shows which of these options has been enabled:
- Maximum – Allows the group's users to process transactions up to the maximum amount
- Set Custom Limits – Limits the group's users to processing transactions up to a predetermined amount
- Account and Functional Access
Displays one of these entitlement options:
- None – No entitlements will be given to the group's users
- Custom – If you select this option, the Save and Continue button is activated. When you leave this page, select Save and Continue. The Entitle User page appears for you to select customized entitlements for the new group's users.
- Full – Gives the group's users all entitlements plus all future additions and removals
If the entitlement option is Custom, the following buttons allow access to these entitlement summaries:
- View Account Access – To view the user group's access to the available accounts, click this button. The Edit Account Access page appears.
- View Functional Access – To view the user group's access to the available functions, click this button.
If the user group was configured in class of service for functional access at a basic level, the basic Edit Functional Access page appears.
If the user group was configured in class of service for functional access at an advanced level, the advanced Edit Functional Access page appears.
- View Data Services – To view the user group's access to the available data service options, click this button. The Edit Data Service Access page appears.
- Approval Status
- Status
Indicates where the user group is currently in the approval process
- Last Modifier
The company ID and user ID of the last person to change the user group's information on this page
To approve or reject the user group, click Approve Group or Reject Group. The Manage User Groups page appears. The user group now has Approved or Rejected in their Approval Status column.
